A lot to talk about with this one, so PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY before bidding.
You need to know this: basically this is the rare and sought after 1959 album by the great Alan Watts called Zen & Senryu. It has the wrong cover. The cover is for the much more rare and sought after Alan Watts recording from 1962 called This Is It. Also, the back cover was apparently stuck to another album or something and subsequently destroyed (more or less) during the unsticking. Please refer to the photos. And finally, it should be noted that though both sides of the vinyl are fairly glossy, the Senryu side has an ugly looking scratch across all five bands (see photo). However, this scratch has a much milder sonic consequence than you might think. First of all, the scratch is not very deep. If you listen carefully, you will hear a tiny noise every time the needle passes over it, but it is not very pronounced at all. You need to actively listen for it. I would say that side plays like a VG record. I've graded it VG MINUS because it looks bad. This record can definitely still be enjoyed.
So there you have it; a very rare cover with issues + a rare record with issues. I've set the minimum bid accordingly.
