"ULTRA RARE 1967 BEATLES SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND ALBUM IN MONO STILL IN SHRINK WRAP COVER (CAPITOL MAS-2653) w/ORIGINAL PSYCHEDELIC INNER LINER & CUTOUTs INSERT"
CELEBRATE THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GREATEST ALBUM EVER ~ THE BEATLES' "SGT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND"! THIS IS A COMPLETE & ULTRA RARE & NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND "IN THE SHRINK WRAP" 1967 EARLY MONO ALBUM, WHICH INCLUDES THE ORIGINAL INNER RED "PSYCHEDELIC" ALBUM SLEEVE & THE PEPPERS "CUTOUT" INSERT - IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION FOR THE MORE DISCRIMINATING AND DETAIL-ORIENTED COLLECTORS! THIS IS AN OVERALL HIGH END COPY OF THIS ALBUM. NOTE: THERE WAS A NEARLY IDENTICAL MONO PEPPERS IN SHRINK w/PRICE STICKER ON EBAY THAT ENDED ON 4 JUNE AND IT SOLD FOR $1300 WITH 38 BIDS - SO HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO GRAB THIS ONE AT PROBABLY A MUCH BETTER PRICE! COVER DETAILS (NEAR MINT-): MOST SELLERS WOULD QUICKLY GRADE THIS "NEAR MINT", BUT I AM DETAIL-ORIENTED ON MY GRADING AND WANT TO ACCOUNT FOR ITEMS. SPINE IS WONDERFUL, SEAMS ARE GREAT, MOUTH OPENING GREAT! THE SEAM WHERE THE COVER FOLDS TO MEET THE MOUTH HAS MINOR RUBBING BUT HAS NOT FRACTURED. FRONT COVER TOP SEAM ON FRONT COVER HAS A SMALL 1/2" PART OF SLICK ON SEAM THAT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS MANUFACTURED WITH JUST A HINT OF A DIP - BUT WAS MADE THAT WAY. TWO SMALL BREATHE HOLES ON FRONT (ONE ON MARLENE DIETRICH'S JACKET) - SHE IS THE WOMAN TO THE RIGHT OF GEORGE, AND THE OTHER HOLE ON THE SHOULDER OF THE BUST JUST TO THE RIGHT OF THE DRUM. THERE IS AN ORIGINAL 1967 PRICE STICKER ON TOP RIGHT THAT READS: "K-79 APEX-1 SPECIAL $1.88". THERE IS A SMALL DISCOLORED SPOT JUST NEXT TO THE PRICE STICKER (SMALL, BUT MENTIONABLE). TOP LEFT CORNER TIP HAS A REAL TINY PUSH TO IT, PERHAPS FROM SHRINK. BACK COVER IS GREAT, WITH ONLY FAINT RUBBING ON THE BACK SIDE OF MOUTH'S EDGE AND TINIEST HINT OF RANDOM SPOTS WHERE RING WEAR HAS TOUCHED THROUGH - BUT VERY MINIMAL. LASTLY, THERE ARE SOME VERY TINY PINHOLE LOOKING DOTS NEAR BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER THAT WHERE MANUFACTURED IN PLANT PRODUCTION (FOR WHATEVER REASON), BUT THEY ARE UNDER SHRINK AND BUILT LIKE THAT. THAT IS WHY I GRADE THIS COMPLETE COVER NM- OVERALL. THIS ALBUM IS ABSOLUTELY A "COLLECTOR KEEPER COPY" AND IN SUPERB CONDITION!  COMPLETE & INTACT, NO SEAM SPLITS, SPINE SPLITS, CRACKS, OR FRACTURES.  NO "NEMS" OR "MCLEAN" ON THE BACK COVER EITHER! THIS COVER WILL NOT DISAPPOINT - THEY ARE EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION AND COMMAND A PREMIUM! ALBUM (LP) DETAILS (NEAR MINT):  I DO NOT OWN A TURNTABLE AT THIS TIME & I AM VISUALLY GRADING THIS ALBUM THE VERY BEST I CAN & DISCRIMINATING AGAINST ANYTHING I SEE. BOTH SIDES OF THE ALBUM LOOK ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC WITH NO ISSUES TO THE NAKED EYE AT ALL - I DON'T EVEN THINK THIS ALBUM HAS BEEN PLAYED YET, IT IS STUNNING LOOKING. LABELS: NEAR MINT ON BOTH SIDES AS  THEY LOOK EXTREMELY NICE, ARE PROPERLY ATTACHED, NO ISSUES AND NO SPINDLE HOLE DAMAGE - THE LABEL ON SIDE ONE LOOKS LIKE IT WAS ADJUSTED DURING GLUING PROCESS AT THE PLANT, AS THE INNER HALF OF LABEL SHOWS A TINY RING FROM MANUFACTURING. SIDE ONE HAS THE SECOND SONG LISTED AS "A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS" (EARLIEST RELEASE WHICH WAS SOON CHANGED TO FULL TITLE "WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS"). INSERT OF PEPPERS "CUTOUTS" IS THE THICK ORIGINAL VERSION AND IN NEAR MINT MINUS (NM) CONDITION. INNER ALBUM "PSYCHEDELIC" RED PATTERN SLEEVE IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH ONLY A MINOR CREASE NEAR TOP FROM PACKAGING (COMMON WITH THESE LINERS FROM THE ALBUM MOVING AROUND) - BUT THE BETTER NEWS IS THAT THERE IS NO SPLITS AT ALL, ESPECIALLY AT THE BOTTOM WHERE 95% OF THEM ARE SPLIT! ORIGINAL 1967 FIRST PRESSING RELEASE WITH NO MENTION OF NEMS OR MCLEAN PUBLISHING ON BACK COVER (AS SEEN IN PHOTOS). THIS IS THE MUCH RARER "MONO" VERSION (WHICH WERE MANUFACTURED AT A SUBSTANTIALLY LOWER RATE THAN THE STEREO VERSIONS, AS MONO WAS GETTING CLOSE TO BEING PHASED OUT AT THAT TIME). CAPITOL RECORDS MAS-2653. THE COVER IS VERY WELL CONSTRUCTED AND THICK CARDBOARD USED IN THE VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. COVER SLICKS ARE WELL PUT TOGETHER ON THIS ALBUM AND DO NOT HAVE THE COMMON AND ALMOST INEVITABLE ISSUES SUCH AS: SPLITS, FRACTURES, SLICK SEPARATIONS, TEARS IN THE GATEFOLD AND STAINS! IMPRESSIVE OVERALL COVER. I SOLIDLY GRADE THE ENTIRE "OVERALL ALBUM SET" AS NEAR MINT, WHICH INCLUDES COVER, ALBUM, INNER SLEEVE AND CUTOUT INSERT. I DO NOT GRADE MANY THINGS A SOLID NEAR MINT, BUT IN THIS CASE I BELIEVE IT IS APPROPRIATE.
