Up for auction is a very rare copy of the classic Tom Waits album "Rain Dogs" originally released on Island Records (7-90299-1) in 1985.

Condition: The cover is in very nice condition with only minor signs of wear and age.  Front is nice and clean with only a hint of rubbing in the yellow title at top.  Back is also clean, no ring wear, just one small age spot lower left corner and upper right corner.  Seams are strong, no splits, no significant rub.  Corners are sharp, not bumped, just a hint of rub on a couple.  Very well-preserved copy.  Grade: Near Mint Minus (NM-), better than typical VG+ copies.

The vinyl is in very nice condition, still retains its original high gloss shine and luster.  No obvious scratches or scuffs, just a couple very faint superficial hairlines near the center label run-out, probably from taking the vinyl out of original paper inner sleeve a few times.  Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes, indicating little previous play.

Play-Tested: This records has excellent fidelity, no significant surface noise or obvious distractions.  Not audiophile clean, but none of these '80s originals, even NM copies, were.  I doubt this record has been played more than a couple times.  Very well-preserved.  Grade: Excellent (EX).
