The Huskers were an absolute sonic blitzkrieg during the summer of ’81. “Dope + Speed = Record” fully exposes the rage and manic energy that drove Hüsker Dü to dizzying heights of creative and critical success; it's an incredible document of a live at the Mabuhay in San Francisco show from July ’81 featuring the band in its embryonic form. Bob Mould and company seem bent on driving themselves to the brink of insanity as they plow through the performance with all the subtlety of a freight train out of control. As part of Hüsker history, this is one awesome document. Features a really cool looking sleeve. Only 500 pressed. There's a very slight warp in the vinyl but this plays clean without any issues at all. Every copy of this album has this.
