This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Jimmy Smith “Plays Pretty Just for You” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1563. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once; “For Promotion” stamped on both labels. The laminated West 63rd St. cover is bright and clean throughout; the back slick has “For Promotion” stamped at the upper right corner, small initials at the upper left corner, small writing next to two song titles, and a light discoloration along the right edge.
