This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Sonny Rollins “Newk’s Time” on the West 63rd (no INC) labels of Blue Note BLP 4001. The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated West 63rd cover is in beautiful condition – bright and clean throughout – with just timings written next to the tune titles; the bottom seam has tiny lamination flakes and slight wear at the opening corner.
Personnel include Wynton Kelly, Doug Watkins, and Philly Joe Jones.
