Karaba is a instrumental jazz-rock collective consisting of young, skilled musicians from Munich/Germany. The style of music moves between progressive rock, jazz rock, the early psychedelic rock of the 60s and 70s and takes up musical ideas from bands such as Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Amon Düül, Missus Beasty. Due to the long-standing friendship and musical exchange with the world music legend Embryo, their music also contains elements of world music. Karaba always strives forwards, combines different styles in an impressively colorful, exciting way and offers the listener a path into the world of modern, progressive jazz-rock.
In 2019 Karaba followed an invitation to open a Damo Suzuki Network event in Vienna / Austria and played a 50-minute concert in the sold-out Club Aera. The vinyl edition 'Live in Vienna' contains five selected tracks of this concert. All of them were carefully mastered by Eroc.
