Stunningly gorgeous original 1961 first pressing double-LP of the complete Giselle ballet music by Adolphe Adam, conducted by Anatole Fistoulari on Mercury Living Presence stereo SR2-9011. FR1/FR1/FR2/FR1 stampers, a very early mastering. This incredible copy is nearly perfect mint and plays flawlessly and beautifully throughout. There might be a slight superficial sleeve mark or two but they do not affect the play at all. The cover as well is in simple marvelous condition, with barely any wear. A little corner ding at the lower right is about all I can mention. This is an incredible high-level audiophile recording and sounds so amazing you won't believe it. AND a little bonus: it comes with an original review of the record cut out of some trade magazine. Very nice to read this blurb about how Fistoulari infuses this "old-fashioned" music with new vitality. True! Anyhiw it is a top original copy that is very hard to beat.
