Very nice original first pressing LP of Borodin's 2nd and 3rd symphonies, and the overture for Prince Igor, conducted by Ernest Ansermet, on London blueback stereo FFSS LP CS-6126. This is the 1E/1E master, the earliest mastering and the best sounding one. Truly an audiophile masterpiece. This copy has some surface scuffs but plays flawlessly all the way through except in the very beginning of side one, where there is the only real scratch, which makes a tick for about the first 20-30 seconds, then stops. After that the rest of that side and the entire second play near flawlessly and beautifully. And what an incredible sonic journey this record is! I believe it is mentioned on the TAS list, and rightly so. Anyhow the cover is also quite nice, with a touch of corner wear and about a 1/2" seam split at the top right. Not big, not bad. Overall the cover is beautiful. And it has a promo sticker on the back, as it was from the collection of an audio archivist who received hundreds of promo copies of such things in those days, most of which he played once or twice to record onto reel tapes, then left them alone. This one seems to have been played a little more. But it is still a beautiful playing copy.
