Jack Wilson on Blue Note 4270.
This is the rare Van Gelder-stamped mono pressing of Jack Wilson “Easterly Winds” on the Liberty labels of Blue Note BLP 4270. The playing surface appears to be MINT, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The coated New York 10019 cover is in near-new condition – amazingly bright and clean. Liberty issued seventeen promo-only mono pressings to radio stations that had not yet converted to stereo transmission, placing a “MONO” sticker over “stereo” on the front. Illustrated inner sleeve is included.
