PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; 2-4 discs $5.00; .50 each additional disc Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.     All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. \                                        USA - DERAM RECORDS - DES 16008

Highly collectible - sought after 1967 first pressing vinyl ...the very FIRST Procol Harum - an early HAMMOND ORGAN PROGRESSIVE that still stands up strong today, 48 years later....

 ............................................................-

includes the original printed ("Teen Beat" London/Deram)  inner sleeve

Featuring the timeless classic "A Whiter Shade Of Pale"

Procol Harum's self-titled, first album was very successful in America, where albums sold easily, since it did include "A Whiter Shade of Pale" (unlike the original British issue) and highlighted by the just as great & timeless "Conquistador." The music is an engaging meld of psychedelic rock, blues, and classical influences, filled with phantasmagorical lyrics, bold (but not flashy) organ by Matthew Fisher, and Robin Trower's most tasteful and restrained guitar. "Conquistador," "Kaleidoscope," "A Christmas Camel," and the Bach-influenced "Repent Walpurgis" are superb tracks, and "Good Captain Clack" is great, almost Kinks-like groove. The album still holds up better than most psychedelic or progressive rock of the era, though too many fairweather fans of the genre forget, or never heard it. Easily their best album, and a nice collectible *clean* 1967 original.

"A Whiter Shade of Pale" "She Wandered Through the Garden Fence" "Something Following Me" "Mabel" "Cerdes (Outside the Gates Of)" "A Christmas Camel" "Conquistador" "Kaleidoscope" "Salad Days (Are Here Again)" "Repent Walpurgis"

CONDITION: The Cover: Very solid all over, rated VG++ would have rated M- however the original owner placed cellophane tape on the outer cellophane which was splitting, as a result, a little of the tape is stuck to the actual cover underneath the cellophane. While appearance is fine (SEE photo, far right), may not be able to remove the tape on outer cellophane (?) ...otherwise a clean cover with original hype sticker. No poster, as usual. There are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, no writing ... a special copy still in the original cellophane wrapper

The Vinyl: is still glossy over both sides "M-" TOP COPY expect to play clean over both sides ...and both Deram labels are clean
