PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

MINTY CLEAN TOP FINAL COLLECTION COPY!

YES, A Final Collection Copy of the immaculate smooth A & B SIDES of their SIXTIES 45 releases

ORIGINAL 1969 original first pressing London pressing ...This is a great collection of their early singles (A's and B's) including the obvious hits "She's Not There" and "Tell Her No".

This was the first ZOMBIES overview album, released in 1969 and represents a good companion to Odessey and Oracle. As early as 1964, the Zombies were writing songs that no-one else were writing: their early hits like 'She's Not There' and 'Tell Her No' were harmonically and melodically more complex than the best Beatles stuff, and just as catchy and emotional. The band's main creative force, keyboardist Rod Argent (although bassist Chris White was just as productive when it came to songwriting), practically redefined the use of the organ back then, playing witty, sophisticated riffs and solos and showcasing his classical music influences way before art-rock came along.

In this way, the Zombies weren't followers; they were leaders. Unfortunately, the commercial tide turned against them sometime in mid-1965, and after the two hits namechecked above they started releasing flop after flop. For what reason, one cannot figure; many of these Zombie tunes are great. Maybe "mannered" baroque-pop was simply going out of fashion, what with the Stones and the Who setting the trends of the epoch; on the other side, the tremendous disadvantage of the Zombies was that they never really knew how to make good old fashioned rock-n-roll. In any case, the band just simply fizzled away in the end because they couldn't make ends meet. A 60's overview collection like this can easily make any unconverted fan a total addict. We won't fall into the general anti-hype trap and say that the Zombies are almost as great as the Beatles or anything like that; the Zombies never transgress the borders of POP like the Beatles did, and their almost total lack of any will for experimentation or stepping away from their 'formula' created their own undoing. But why complain? Do the intellectual wimps a favour and get this 41 year old gem...you could do far worse... The Zombies are worthy of your collection.
