Over the next few weeks and months I will be listing a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums.
These will all be at least decent playing copies, but mostly will be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed (so long as they are readable!) so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. All gradings are by visual examination and by play-grading, strictly to record collector guidelines.
So here we have Floyds iconic work from 1975. "ANIMALS". A2-U / B2-U matrices. Side 1 mother / stamper is ? / LM Side 2 mother / stamper is 1 / GOG. Really early in the pressing run this one.
The cover grades excellent. No damage worthy of mention. Really hard to fault and one of the best wide spine copies I have come across. The inner sleeve is excellent, with only a hint of light creeping through a rubbed area on the bottom edge centre. Not gone right through yet., but the vinyl is now housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve to prevent any further damage. The vinyl surfaces visually are excellent. No marks of note. The labels show just one or two spider trails if you look really hard, so this has hardly ever been played I feel. The sound quality is beyond excellent. Side one starts perfectly. Track 2 has a handful of seconds of very very light background at the start only. The rest of the side is near perfect. 99% of side one plays almost silently. Side 2 starts with 5 seconds of very light background, then again, near perfect throughout the rest of the side. This is a top copy in every way.
So Pink Floyd at their best. The early 70's was really the start of super stardom. The run of albums from "Dark side" to "Animals" is possibly unsurpassed.
Also included in this wonderful lot are the following:-
The original tour programme from 1977, and in really great condition. A concert ticket from the Bingley Hall gig from March 1977. In great shape also, but has a light crease running down the centre. 3 artwork photos associated to the iconic album. All mint. A coaster depicting the record labels. Mint. A brand new gel pen with artwork from the album.
All in all a fantastic and highly desirable collection, probably never sold together in one lot before. Do not miss this chance to own it.
All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me, sometimes less!
I accept returns if I am notified as soon as possible after you receive the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
I will post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Postage within the EU is around £16. Worldwide postage is around £25. If these prices differ once I have packed and weighed them, I will refund the difference immediately.
If you have any questions, or require more photos, just let me know.
Many excellent Floyd titles still to be listed (well over 100), so please keep an eye out for my future sales.
Good luck if you decide to bid.
