This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Art Blakey “A Night at Birdland, Volume 1” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 1521. The flat rim playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once; two light tics during the spoken intro to Side 2. The coated frame cover (no address, as issued) is in excellent condition – bright and clean throughout – with just 1/8” x ½” wear at the bottom right corner, on the front. Personnel include Clifford brown, Lou Donaldson, Curly Russell, and Horace Silver. $250.00.
