This US 1st press is on the New York USA, blue and white Blue Note label. This earliest press has the ear and RVG (Rudy Van Gelder) etched in the dead wax and is pressed on the heavy original vinyl. Released in 1961, the album features Yusef Lateef, Jack McDuff and Al Harewood.
The vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. It is pressed on wonderful heavy 60's vinyl and has a superb lightly played gloss. There are a few wispy light marks on both sides but the vinyl still has the original jet black finish. The label is superb, the white is bright, the blue is solid and there is only the very slightest spindle wear.
The heavy vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and plays through exceptionally well. Very rich, vibrant and extremely clear. There are moments of slight background hiss but this is largely just static. It is bold and sharp throughout.

The heavy card sleeve is in Very Good condition. The black is solid and the image is sharp. The text is clear and the colours are vivid. There is a little tape on the corner and the rear of the sleeve shows some tape discolouration marks. The whole sleeve is extremely solid and the edges are firm.  _gsrx_vers_795 (GS 7.0.7 (795))
