Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
ARTIST: Mel Torme
TITLE: California Suite
LABEL: Bethlehem Records MONO LP BCP-6061
CONDITION: JACKET - VG+(Please see actual album photos) VINYL - Near Mint(Graded using special daylight balanced spotlight)
SPECIAL FEATURES: Jacket has split 75% of bottom seam, small notations on back, extensive notes and album cover photos. Here are partial notes from the back cover:
From back cover: "Although there are many sections in Mel Tormé's California Suite that stand as individual musical entities -- e.g., the "Poor Little Extra Girl," "Got The Gate On The Golden Gate," and "They Go To San Diego" interludes which can be played and enjoyed in themselves -- the composition is a complete work that deserves to be listened to in that way. Therefore, in order to preserve the feeling of continuity, there have been no tracks made on this record."

Recorded March, 1957, in Hollywood, California.

Red label with silver print, rectangular logo at top.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
