Peacepipe: "The Human Equation Featuring Jon Uzonyi" 1995, USA/Rockadelic RRLP 18 Test Pressing. Disc is M-, and it's pressed on grey and white marbled wax! "Human Equation" is written on one label in pen. Gatefold cover has corner bumps, a "Rockadelic Records" stamp on the front cover slick, it gets an EX to M- grade. Has the insert. This is not a reissue, it's the very first edition of the lost album by Peacepipe, known to collectors for their brain-frying 45 on Accent, The Sun Won't Shine Forever. This copy on offer is a RARE limited edition on colored vinyl, which exists only as a test pressing with white labels. Less than 15 of these were produced and the sound is superior to the stock black vinyl edition of 600, which seems to always have some noise at the start of each side... these don't. Totally insane guitar pyrotechnics from Jon Uzonyi, who was a session musician at Accent Records in the late 60s. The recording of the Peacepipe album was overseen by studio technician Eirik Wangberg, who also engineered the 45 by the pre-Kak band The Oxford Circle and the recordings by the Sacramento outfit Public Nuisance. The heavy tracks on this LP (there are several) are really mindblowing in the best Hendrix/Mahogany Rush tradition and are certainly the most over-the-top guitar stuff Rockadelic ever issued. In case you'd like to hear just how great this band was, I will include a YouTube link below although ebay is supposed to be removing live links from auctions this summer so they may not be visible. I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.
