Please Read Full Listing Before Purchase - Thanks. Please buy with confidence, I have decided to part with some of my collection that I've amassed over the past 35+ years, everything from 78's classical to metal, rock and even a few new 180gm pressings. On offer is The Lp - Mendelssohn - Scotch & Italian Symphonies - London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Claudio Abbado. Side1: Symphony No 3 in A minor, op . 56 - Scotch. Side 2: Symphony No 4 in A, op . 90 - Italian. 1968 Stereo Pressing on the Decca Records Label - SXL 6363 - Matrix No's - ZAL 8314 2G & ZAL 8315 1G. Vinyl - Visual - Ex - The vinyl is visually in excellent condition with a couple of tiny surface marks and a few very fine hairlines visible under strong light, surface retains a lovely sheen, The Labels are clean with no obvious wear, . Playback - Ex- - Side 1 plays excellent throughout, the only small blemishes were 5 or 6 consecutive clicks were heard 1/3 rd of the way through the side and also a couple of solo clicks further on in the side, Side 2 Plays excellent although with small static tics for the 1st 10 seconds or so of the side, small tics and a few clicks also heard elsewhere on the side although nothing major - No skips or jumps etc. I have played 100's possibly 1000's of these older pressings over the years, it's normal to get some light tics, clicks, light static crackle or even the occasional pop on the vast majority of vinyl pressings even when they are in as excellent a condition as this one, I have perhaps found only a couple of records over the years that played absolutely perfectly without any of these normal features of vinyl. Sleeve - Vg+  Provided in the Original Sleeve as pictured which has some minor age related wear although nothing major as can be seen in the pics. Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality.  Please note: A mid range technics turntable was used to play test the Record - Playback Results may vary on Inferior or Superior quality playback equipment. Record Collector's Grading System.

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc...

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
