This is 1970, first edition, “Van Gelder” stamped pressing of ANDREW HILL’s “Lift Every Voice” on the "United Artists” labels of Blue Note BST 84330. Musicians include Andrew Hill – piano, Woody Shaw – trumpet, Carlos Garnett - tenor saxophone, Richard Davis – bass, Freddie Waits – drums, Joan Johnson, LaReine LaMar, Gail Nelson, Antenett Goodman Ray – vocals, Lawrence Marshall - vocals, conductor. VINYL plays with consistent low-level surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, 静的 or うるさい, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Good gloss. Surface is clean. The “Division of United Artists” labels are clean, minor spindle wear. See photos.
