Pierre Monteux, Symphony No.5 Egmont Overture.
Factory Sealed, Stored in a Climate and Light Controled Enviroment. Condition is New Factory Mint.
The Monteux Beethoven cycle was split between the London Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic. Presented here is a wonderful performance of the Fifth Symphony and the Egmont Overture with Monteux conducting the LSO. According to the late Jack Pfeiffer, RCA had scheduled this performance to be released as VICS 1103 but pulled it from release at the last minute. Classic Records is releasing this sonic masterpiece, cut from the original two-track masters, as it was originally intended for the first time ever! One of the most beautiful of the Monteux / LSO Beethoven performances - not to be missed!
We also carry more than 50,000 titles in the sealed vinyl format so if there are others you seek,Track Listing:
