Custom made etched album cover in mirrored glass.
Artistic rendering of the famous photo of the legendary Johnny Cash giving the finger during his 1969 concert at San Quentin State Prison after the photographer, Jim Marshall, asked "John, let's do a shot for the warden..." with well known CASH logo from the more recent albums he released on Rick Rubin's Def American Records.
The mirror measures approximately 11” x 14” including the permanent slimline black and gold frame.
The process: a precision cut resist is placed atop the mirror and a sodium bifluoride/ ammonium bifluoride etching cream is applied which permanently etches the upper surface of the glass mirror creating the frosted glass look you see in the included photos. Note: Large frosted areas may contain irregular frosting; this is the nature of the etching process and adds to the uniqueness of the art.
