Ownership History: I am the original purchaser. As an audiophile since teenage years, I amassed a varied collection of very carefully played and cared for LP's. Played only on some of the finest equipment available.
Advantage: consider buying a one owner vehicle from a car enthusiast/collector versus a used Rental Agency car from a Used Car dealer.
Played on audio equipment from 1963 thru 1972: AR turntable with Stanton 500E cartridge Dynaco Pas3x Preamp, Dynaco Stereo 70 power amp, Dynamo FM3 tuner AR 2ax speakers Played on audio equipment from 1973 thru 1975: Thorens TD125ABmk2 turntable with Micro/Acoustic MA 2002e cartridge Marantz 7c tube preamp, Bose 1801 power amp, Marantz 10B tube tuner OHM F Walsh speakers Played on audio equipment from 1976 thru 2005: Thorens TD125Bmk2 (removed Thorens tone arm) Infinity Black Widow Tone Arm Ortofon MC20 moving coil cartridge with Ortofon MCA76 pre-preamp Apt Holman Preamp, Apt Power Amp, Nikko Gamma 30 Tuner, Kenwood LO7M mono power amp for sub KEF 101 speakers RH Labs RH1 sub woofer
I have carefully cleaned each LP with professional alcohol free "Boundless Audio" record cleaning fluid. Play tested and graded each LP and outer sleeve using "The Goldmine Standard".
The Goldmine Standard of LP Record Grading NM (Near Mint): The vinyl will play with no imperfections during playback. No obvious signs of wear.
VG+ (Very Good Plus): Will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Any defects should be of a cosmetic nature, not affecting actual playback.
VG (Very Good): Surface noise will evident upon playing, especially in soft passages, but will not overpower music.
G+ (Good Plus): Can be played without skipping, but with significant surface noise, scratches and visible groove wear.
