Disintegration remains a melancholic miracle after all these years. The Cure has a reputation for being dark and depressing, but that`s far from the truth. Robert Smith created music intended to make the listener feel the range of emotions revolving around love, lust and loss that can be experienced from adolescence through his teenage years to the last years of his life. Disintegration maintains a dark yet utterly beautiful atmosphere.
Thirty years after its release, this album is still alive and well. ‘Lovesong’ is a particular favorite, with a groove so good that even the most passive goth would nod, a smooth, lilting bassline that balances the rest of the arrangement, and an absolutely divine post-chorus melody. It's considered one of my absolute favorite songs. Fulfilling many of the clichés of the goth-rock mantra, Disintegration is surprisingly varied, but the diversity of sounds, styles and arrangements makes for a perfectly satisfying but strangely limited production.
But that doesn't stop Disintegration from being a great album, and it doesn't hurt the legacy it leaves behind.

THE VINYL IS SHINY, CLEAN AND HARDLY USED AT ALL. THIS LP WAS NOT GRADED HIGHER BECAUSE I DID FIND SOME SPINDLE MARKS ON THE LABEL.
