Up for auction is a copy of Markley A Group by Markley, aka the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, released in 1969 on Forward. The extraordinary story of this band is far too convoluted to relate here, but for their final album, it was decided that The WCPAEB would be billed as Markley. The resulting LP among their greatest works too, and marks the return of Michael Lloyd to the band, lending a finely honed melodic sensibility to the contents. This album has been bootlegged & reissued on numerous occasions; this is guaranteed an original pressing, and includes the rare lyric insert.

Condition: vinyl looks barely played, a great example; no scratches or scuffs, just a wispy mark or two from sleeve removal. Cover is also great; no tears, cutout holes etc, just a small mark on the bottom right hand corner, 1” of seam split on the upper edge, and a little rubbing on the front. Insert is problem-free. EX/VG+/EX (vinyl/cover/insert).

My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale.
