Great playing copy of Uriah Heep's 1971 classic Salisbury. This is the UK first pressing on the Vertigo swirl label, and comes complete with its original Vertigo swirl lined inner sleeve.
The gatefold sleeve has plenty of wear, with edge, spine and corner wear but the colours are still bright, there is no significant damage, writing or seam splits, and the centrefold is clean and tidy. It easily grades VG+, possibly slightly better.
The vinyl has plenty of marks and hairlines but the audio plays much better than it looks, and overall it's a solid VG+ - a bit of surface noise during quieter passages but nothing too worrying and the music overpowers this for the most part. The Vertigo swirl labels are clean and undamaged and grade Excellent.
Matrices are: 1Y*1 420 14 2Y*1 420 16 V/C
The original Vertigo swirl lined inner sleeve has some browning, creasing and an 8cm seam split to one side, so grades Good + to VG.
Overall it's a perfectly decent playing copy, and well worth snapping up as UK 1st press copies are few and far between. Competitive start price!
