PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING:
Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.
OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.
Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.
We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
Thank you for your interest and support.

ORIGINAL 1968 FIRST PRESS HIPPIE ROCK FUZZ PSYCH & HEAD GROOVES STILL FACTORY SEALED K A N G A R O O KANGAROO USA - MGM - SE 4568 ((stereo)) FINAL COLLECTION COPY STILL FACTORY SEALED Original 1968 first pressing vinyl hippie rock supported by the strong vocals of Barbara Keith ...there's loud fuzz guitar all over the album... Showcasing the talents of singer/multi-instrumentalist John Hall, vocalist Barbara Keith, drummer N. D. Smart II and lead guitarist Teddy Spelies, Kangaroo was much too talented to be completely ignored, but poor label promotion led the group to vanish into obscurity...well, almost. There are few other albums of the late '60s besides Kangaroo's only self-titled affair on which so much talent is evident. There's a variety of collectible styles, running the gamut from redneck-rock ("Frog Giggin'," "Happy Man") and sunshine pop-psychedelia ("Such a Long, Long Time") to strident folk-rock ("Daydream Stallion") and avowedly Beatlesque sounds ("Happy Man," "Make Some Room in Your Life"). There are also gratuitous insertions of backwards guitars, San Francisco-type acid rock riffing, soul vocal posturing, descendants-of-West Coast male-female backup harmonies, and a crazed monologue about killing frogs and having sex at the same time. The songwriting has sky-high ambitions but sometimes confused construction and execution. The highlights are particularly the vibrato folk-rock vocals of Barbara Keith as heard on the strident yet haunting folk-rock-psych outing "Daydream Stallion." CONDITION: NEVER OPENED in 46 years!!! STILL FACTORY SEALED... a perfect original with 4 sharp corners, flat & square ...All sharp and clean has no delete marks (rare for this LP)... original colors, no writing and no split seams...HIGHLY collection worthy rarity ... never played SEALED from 1968
A GREAT ADDITION TO ANYONE'S COLLECTION ! SEE: SELLERS OTher items for similar cool sounds for "head" people... EFFICIENT/CAREFUL GRADING All imperfections are noted both cover & record
Released by MGM, 1968's cleverly titled "Kangaroo" teamed the quartet with producers Bobby Wyld and Art Polhemus. Musically the set served as a spotlight for the multi-talented Hall. In addition to writing most of the material (post MOUNTAIN drummer N.D. Smart credited with two tracks (including the bizarre 'Frog Giggin''), Keith and Spelies one each), Hall handled an arsenal of instruments, as well as most of the lead vocals. While Hall has a decent voice, Barbara Keith was far better; the dreamy 'Daydream Stallion' and 'The Only Thing I Had' providing two of the set's highpoints. Powered by Spelies take-no-prisoners guitar 'Such a Long, Long Time', 'Make Some Room In Your Life' and 'I Never Tell Me Twice' offered up a sound more accurately labeled light-psych. Pulling a page out of the Moby Grape marketing catalog, MGM simultaneously released three singles from the album.
