Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. BOTTOM LINE: Well written garage style ravers, performed by a highly talented band. These guys were ahead of the pack, and deserved far better than their fate. Any fan of infectious, raw edged sixties rock should own a copy...

YES....Anyone who collects 60s music must have this. Mr Blister advises that you are not a serious collector if you have missed, dismissed, and/or ignored this priceless platter of 60s garage rock.

 

Good as the STONES Mick and Keith were at re-imagining rhythm & blues as rough & ready rock on The Rolling Stones' 1964 debut, they didn't hold a candle to what The Remains would deliver two years later. Had these Boston bad boys stuck it out beyond their 1966 debut, we might today be calling them--and not the Stones--the World's Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band. As it is, The Remains most certainly are America's greatest lost band."

Every track on here is great - especially "Lonely Weekend", "Don't Look Back", the swinging "Diddy Wah Diddy" (literally puts ALL the other band's versions out there of this song to shame), "Once Before" (good hooks), "Can't Get Away From You", "Me Right Now", the snappy "My Babe", "Ain't That Her" and "All Good Things".

As collectors of 60s garage and psych, we cannot more highly recommend this disc. The Remains were one of the giants of the genre and one of the finest American bands of the era.The Remains, lead by lead vocalist/lead guitarist Barry Tashian were the band on the Boston music scene from'64-'66. House band at the storied Ratskeller club, their scorching live act was legendary among rock's cognoscenti. They appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and were the opening act for the Beatles on their 1966 summer tour. Tragically, the band disintegrated just prior to the release of The Remains and the band faded into obscurity. Many east coast '60s teens who were lucky enough to see the Remains at the height of their powers, all still advise, without hesitation, that the remains were the greatest live act ever. Indeed, after giving this Remains LP a fresh listen it's not difficult to understand why.
