DELIA MURPHY Queen Of Connemara UK XTRA Irish Gypsy Tinker Folk
Original issue 1967 UK pressed Xtra stereo LP, XTRA 5028.
Earliest A1/B1 matrix suffixes.
Interestingly this was originally recorded for Prestige Records, USA, by Rudy Van Gelder, famed for early Blue Note jazz recordings. The bright and crisp recorded sound is typical Gelder.
Vinyl strong VG plus, approaching EX. Some spider trail marks at centre spindle areas but not excessively so. Vinyl surfaces still have a high gloss and display just a few minor scuff marks, no deep marks or scratches. Sleeve VG plus. No sticker or pen etc. marks, no loss. Minor pinch line creases and laminate air pockets/imperfections. Seams clean and unsplit. Light overall storage and handling wear, including some darkening and ringwear impression to predominantly white rear panel.
Personnel:Delia Murphy (vocals); Bob Creash (accordion); Stuart Wheeler (bass); Walter Raim (guitar and banjo)
