PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. FINAL COLLECTION - TOP COPY :::

machine stamped 1/1 MATRIX ::: first print

Original 1968 first pressing of gritty BLUESROCK album featuring the famed guitarists RY COODER and JESSE ED DAVIS....

In terms of sheer power, "Leaving Trunk" is one of the top electric blues cuts (ever?) A very nice blues album with Ry Cooder on the rhythm guitar and Jesse Ed Davis on the lead guitar. "E Z Rider" was written by Taj Mahal. Other tracks are blues numbers as played by this formidable crew and Sleepy John Estes penned "Leaving Trunk", "Everybody's Got to Change Sometime" and "Diving Duck Blues".

Collection worthy for those interested in biting blues music. By 1968 many Blues/Rock musicians were changing their sound towards psychedelia. Taj Mahal and band dives deep into the old Blues sound, and delivers them with the latest technological advances in the field of musical studios.
"Leaving Trunk" written by Sleepy John Estes, opens the album with an inspired uptem,po grooves, cool harmonica work, a groovin' sound. "Statesboro Blues" is tightly rocked-out and features atonishing work with the slide guitar. In "Checkin' Up On My Baby", we return to the old style Blues and done very well. Elsewhere, "Everybody's Got To Change Sometime", highlights a great Jesse Ed Davis guitar solo and the amazing voice of Taj Mahal. "E Z Rider" is a cool rocker, overall different from the straight-ahead blues songs. Taj Mahal's vocals sounds much like Bob "The Bear" Hite" of Canned Heat, on the legendary "Dust My Broom" as the group barrels through the classic ... The epic "Celebrated Walking Blues" clocks in at near 9 minutes and showcases the great band in all their glory ...
