From 1968 and issued on ABC Probe Records 4500 in stereo by innovative and sophisticated progressive rockers from the UK, the Soft Machine. A remarkably exploratory recording for the times and an absolute inclusion to any progressive rock collection from this period that includes Michael Ratledge organ, Robert Wyatt drums and Kevin Ayres guitar. This is the original issue gatefold die cut cover with moving wheel. An amazingly scarce sealed mint new stock copy with clean shrink torn at several corners. Cover is near mint with corner bump and short area of bottom seam wear. International shipping for this item is USPS Priority air mail only.

Please review photos for further consideration. Also, review shipping, grading, combined purchases and other details prior to bidding.

I will contact winning bidder, usually within 24 hours of auction close and provide shipping and payment details. Please, payments must be received within 10 days of my initial invoice providing total cost. All payments must be made through Paypal. I do not respond to any nonsensical contacts, to include requests for shipping cost (shipping cost provided, just click on choices), and I do not accept offers to close auction and sell at Buy It Now.

COMBINED SHIPPING - MULTIPLE BIDS POLICY - PLEASE READ

If you want to combine multiple items please wait until I forward you an invoice with adjusted shipping cost and totals prior to making payment (ignore the eBay generated invoice). I provide a 10 day period to combine items. Payment for combined items must be received within 10 days of your first item purchase. All buyers who do not pay after 10 days are temporarily placed on Blocked Bidders List until payment is received. All items are packaged and shipped within 10 days, I do not hold paid items to be combined with future items. Remember, shipping cost is determined by weight and destination, not number of items.

SHIPPING COSTS

DOMESTIC: Shipping cost is actual postage plus $1.00 to help defer cost of professional packaging materials, handling and delivery confirmation. I will always try to ship bulk orders the least expensive option, either Media Mail or Parcel Post, unless Priority Mail is requested. I include free delivery confirmation with each shipment. Illinois State residents will be charged 7.75% sales tax.
INTERNATIONAL: Charge will be determined by weight, country and value of content. Shipping cost is actual postage plus $1.00 to help defer cost of professional packaging materials and handling. Withhold payment until I forward invoice. ALL INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS OVER $50.00 VALUE MUST BE SHIPPED PRIORITY AIR, required by Paypal in order to qualify for seller & buyer protection.  I will not falsify value on Customs form and I will not ship to a non-verified US address. Import duty, taxes or other monetary requirements associated with destination country are the buyers responsibility and I am not responsible for Customs delays or Customs fees. I only ship to a few International locations.

All records are professionally packaged and most are shipped in cardboard LP mailers with cardboard flats & bubble wrap. Non bulk lot records are removed from cover. Bulk lot records are shipping with vinyl inside cover. Larger bulk shipments are all shipped in new boxes designed to accommodate records and packaging. All combined LP purchases over 20 pounds are shipped in two boxes (read multiple wins explanation). I do not skimp on packaging. Please, do not instruct me on how to safely package vinyl records.

RECORD GRADING LP'S

I place emphasis on play grade, maintain the highest professional standards, do spot check play grading on all individual auction items and always provide an accurate visual grade and label appearance. I play grade on a quality system with a high end cartridge in order to maintain a strict and undisguised play grade. I always keep my grading simple and fair and will not subject my customers to a proliferation of meaningless grades. If a record plays between two grades I always apply the lesser grade, I don't create a grade in an attempt to articulate a borderline evaluation.
nm....near mint, superb play quality with little to no signs of visual wear and plays with little to no extraneous noise. The only records that qualify for a "mint" grade on my listings are my new unplayed and unhandled store stock items.
vg+...very good plus, excellent play quality with minor use and little to no overall visual wear. Any minor scuffs, light surface scratches, or blemishes do not affect play and play grade may have some very minor extraneous area noise.
vg....very good, very playable, probably with some extraneous surface noise. A slightly mishandled or well used record. May have visual scratches or blemish. I generally do not auction vg albums unless they are exceptional pieces and highly sought after items.

I use standard record grading abbreviations and include cover grade within each description. I open, clean and inspect all suspect sealed older albums.

Grading is very subjective and everyone has their position on determining various grades. I stand by my grading as stated within grading details above, but there are always those who have unrealistic high expectations. Ten different collectors can give ten different interpretations on the difference between nm- & vg+. Please understand that many of my vinyl records are 30 to 60 years old. In my experience I have rarely found vinyl of this vintage that, under extreme scrutiny, does not have a hairline scuff, mark, blemish or manufacturing smudge or surface impression. My vinyl grading has satisfied almost 100% of my buyers. If you are consistently disappointed with my grading, please refrain from participation in future auctions. I hold no hard feelings and understand totally. I've been doing this successfully full time for over 40 years and am well aware of individuals various interpretations of grading records. If you have a problem, contact me and explain exactly what the issue is, please don't regrade the album.

BARGAIN CLEARANCE LOT DETAILS

Because of time constraints, all bargain bulk lots are visually graded. I will spot play check certain items with visual imperfections or scratches to make sure play quality is acceptable. I always try to include quality condition records in my bargain lots ranging from vg to mostly vg+ and near mint. I do not include any beater albums in these lots. Please understand I do not detail every little inconsequential imperfection of each item, it is a general over all grade. All bargain lot auctions are "as is". This means every item is guaranteed as described, but if one of the items in the lot is defective or I may have mistakenly overlooked a serious flaw you will only receive a partial credit for that item based on the total cost, you cannot return the entire lot for a full credit. Also, I do not respond to inquiries requesting additional details on bargain bulk lots. Bulk lot LP's are not VPI wet vac machine cleaned unless noted within description. Also, winners of bulk lots must take entire lot, you cannot choose only certain albums, it's all or nothing.
