For sale is an unusual / error copy of The Beatles 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps b/w Blackbird'. In the mid-90’s a set of colored vinyl 45’s were produced by Capitol / CEMA. [we have a Full set of those for sale too] This is a rare "Production Test Pressing" and it differs from the regular issue 45. About a dozen or so record press "tests" are done to assure correct vinyl thickness, label centering, groove depth, stamper levels and other Quality Control standards. These pressings are then removed from the press while the vinyl is still hot and plyable - each test press is totally unique! This one failed the integrity test needing more vinyl for regular production as evidenced by how thin it is. Additionally as you can see, the label was adhered way off-center! Weird anomaly for that special collector who wants a unique, one-of-a-kind item!
