Haruomi Hosono, Shigeru Suzuki, Tatsuro Yamashita Media Reviews, etc. The first release in the Sound Image Series, Haruomi Hosono, Shigeru Suzuki, and Tatsuro Yamashita have contributed new compositions based on the beautiful seas of the South Pacific. Haruomi Hosono performed two songs with a tropical feel, as well as the original song from YMO's debut album, "Yellow Magic Orchestra," for the first time on this album. Tatsuro Yamashita presented a floating crossover sound with a medley of pop instrumentals that mixed surf siesta music and oldies-style choruses. Shigeru Suzuki provides three tropical funky instrumentals. Other members include Tateo Hayashi, Shuichi Murakami, Kenji Takamizu, Shigetoya Hamaguchi, Nobu Saito, Jun Sato, Kenji Omura, Hirofumi Tokutake, and Hidefumi Toki. (C)RS
