TLC is an American whose repertoire spans , , , and . TLC originally comprised , and singer . The group was very successful in the 1990s and early 2000s in spite of numerous spats with the law, each other, and the group's record label.

TLCs debut album sold 6 million copies worldwide and spawned the hit singles "", "" and "". This success was surpassed by their second album, , which was certified by the — a first for a female group.
