GREATEST HITS II (1st pressing)

On offer here is a rare first pressing (A2/B1/A1/B2) of GH2 released in October 1991 and has the embossed crest slightly raised on the front cover.  This LP is in excellent order with wonderful audio and the gatefold also remains in excellent condition with only minimal wear.

Visual grading

Side One does have a couple of noticeable fine hairlines and Side Two has one very faint one but I am pleased to report they have no bearing on the audio quality at all.  The second record has no hairlines or scratches at all and is in superb condition.

Play grading

Having play tested both I can confirm the audio is of a very high standard.  There is light static at the beginning of 'A Kind of Magic' and also at the end but I think you can expect that on vinyl of 25 years old.  The remainder of the side plays as near to Mint as you will find.  There is no lead in static on Side Two and throughout you can only hear the slightest hint of static.  Again this side plays with real quality and depth, amazing audio for a quarter of a century old!  'Who Wants To Live Forever' does have one pop right at the beginning but apart from that it sounds sublime.  The orchestral ending plays superbly well.

Side Three and Four play with stunning audio that would be nigh on impossible to improve upon.  There are no clicks and almost no static, the depth of sound you get here is why vinyl stands above any other format.  They play loudly and so clearly through the speakers.  Manufactured on high quality vinyl it certainly makes a difference to the audio and gives a stronger sound and greater depth.

Gatefold cover

The gatefold is in excellent condition and extremely clean.  There are a couple of minor 'dinks' on the edges and a little wear to the bottom opening edge and one faint scratch type mark on the reverse but apart from that is in great condition.  The wide spine is as new.  So often this cover is in poor shape but this is definitely one of the better ones you will find.  So many sellers would not even mention the 'imperfections' but as my buyers know I am very complete in my gradings hence my feedback.

Picture sleeves

The sleeves are in perfect condition which is so rare as they so often have splits.  Not these two!  You will not find bettter.
