Colosseum, Daughter Of Time. This is their third UK studio album released in December 1970. Description Original UK Vertigo small spiral second label variant issued in early 1971 (when first released in December 1970 the earliest copies were pressed with a large spiral label, but these are very rare, as the labels were changed in January 1971!), with the first pressing 1Y//1 2Y//1 matrices and very early 1-1-2 1-1-2 mother stampers.

Daughter of Time was recorded in the summer of 1970 and released in December. It was recorded in the midst of many upheavals in the band's line-up with Chris Farlowe taking over vocal duties and only one of its eight tracks, "Three Score and Ten, Amen", features all six of the official band members. The lyrics were written by Jon Hiseman & Pete Brown and it would be the swansong for the band who split up in October 1971.

The matt foil gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and the inner cover has some very light rubbing, with a small sticker scar on the front cover. The spine is intact, with some rubbing & fully readable. The spiral inner is intact, but is lightly discoloured & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with only a few faint sleeve removal hairlines and a couple of light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves and in a couple of the quieter passages.
Overall, still a really good, loud and clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; 6360017, 1Y//1-420 stamper 1-1-2 2Y//1-420 stamper 1-1-2. This is one of the early 1971 pressings of the original UK stereo issue of this iconic 1970 album!
