THE RECORDS

THE LABELS

THE DARK RED BOXED LABELS ARE IN MAGNIFICENT CONDITION. NO STAINS OR HANDLING MARKS. THE COLOUR STRETCHES FULLY INTO THE UNWORN SPINDLE HOLE. THE SILVER TYPEFACE AND LOGOS ARE ALL UNRUBBED AND PERFECTLY LEGIBLE. THERE ARE 2-3 BARELY VISIBLE SMALL SPIDER LINES CLOSE TO THE SPINDLE HOLE SHOWING JUST HOW LITTLE THIS ALBUM HAS BEEN NEAR A TURNTABLE. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS I BELIEVE WHY THE SLEEVE HAS RETAINED ITS CONDITION, THE LP JUST HASN'T BEEN OUT OF IT MORE THAN A FEW TIMES IN 51 YEARS

THE VINYL

THIS HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL IS IN SUPERB CONDITION, REALLY GLOSSY AND NOT DULL LIKE MOST WORN OUT COPIES. IN DAY LIGHT THE VINYL LOOKS TO BE TOTALLY FLAWLESS, AND EVEN UNDER INTENSE ILLUMINATION THE RECORD IS PRISTINE

PLAYING THE RECORD

I CANNOT BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW AMAZED I WAS WHEN I PLACED THE STYLUS ONTO THE VINYL AND GOT NEAR SILENCE!!!, THEN THE MUSIC STARTED AND THE FIRST THING THAT BECAME OBVIOUS WAS THAT THERE WAS NO DISTORTION TO THIS CRISP, LOUD MONO REPRODUCTION WHATSOEVER. THE CLARITY AND LOUDNESS OF THIS PRESS IS JUST OUTSTANDING

AS TRACK ONE CAME TO AN END I WAS LISTENING INTENTLY FOR ANY VINYL NOISE IN THE LINKING GROOVE. THERE WAS NONE!!!

THIS LP PLAYS WITHOUT ANY BACKGROUND CRACKLES, OR LOUD CLICKS

THERE IS THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF BARELY AUDIBLE STATIC HEARD ONLY IN A FEW OF THE LINKING GROOVES

I CAN'T EVEN SAY THAT I HEARD ANY  DUST POPS THROUGH THE PLAYTHROUGH

NOT EVEN A TOUCH OF VINYL NOISE AS THE TRACK RUNS INTO THE DEAD WAX AT THE END

I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO GRADE THIS INCREDIBLE RECORD MINT MINUS

THE SLEEVE

AN ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE SLEEVE THAT YOU WILL JUST BE ASTOUNDED TO SEE. THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLES OF THIS SLEEVE YOU ARE EVER LIKELY TO COME ACROSS,

YOU KNOW HOW IMPOSSIBLE IT IS TO FIND ANY EARLY ORIGINAL STONES SLEEVE IN COLLECTIBLE CONDITION, BUT THIS COPY IS IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION.

I HAVE ON OTHER STINES SALES, MENTIONED JUST HOW THIN THESE EARLY STONES ALBUM SLEEVES ARE. WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE QUALITY SLEEVES THAT THE BEATLES ALBUMS CAME IN IT, MAKE YOU WONDER WHY THEY DECIDED TO PUT WHAT WOULD BE VERY POPULAR RECORDS IN SLEEVES THAT COULDN'T HANDLE THE CONSTANT REMOVAL AND INSERTION OF THE VINYL. VIRTUALLY EVERY COPY YOU WILL COME ACROSS WITH HAVE SERIOUS CREASE LINES, THUMB LINES CLOSE TO THE OPENING EDGE, RING WEAR, NUMEROUS LAMINATE LINES NEAR THE SPINE, AND A VERY DIRTY AND OFTEN STAINED REAR SURFACE

SO STARTING WITH THE FRONT SURFACE. THE FIRST THING TO SAY IS THAT THE LAMINATE GLEAMS LIKE A POLISHED MIRROR. IT HAS NOT LOST ONE IOTA OF IT'S ORIGINAL DAY OF RELEASE SHEEN, AND LOOKS AS GOOD TODAY AS IT DID BACK IN 1970

THERE IS NOT ONE CREASE LINE ANYWHERE, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. NO THUMB LINES EITHER AT ANY POINT OR PLACE ON THE COVER

NOT ONE PRESSURE LINE BY THE SPINE. NONE ON THE TOP OR BOTTOM EDGES AND NO THUMB LINES NEAR THE OPENING EDGE

FINALLY NOT ONE IOTA OF RINGWEAR OR EVEN SERIOUS RECORD SHAPE, JUST THE BAREST SHADOW OF IMPRESSION IF YOU ANGLE THE SLEEVE INTO THE LIGHT. HONESTLY I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS SLEEVE HAS SOMEHOW SURVIVED 51 YEARS AND NOT SUFFERED ANY CREASING.

INCREDIBLY NO LAMINATE LIFT WHATSOEVER

TOP AND BOTTOM EDGES ARE BOTH 100% FREE FROM ANY SHELF WEAR.ALL OF THE LAMINATE IS PRISTINE AND STRETCHES FULLY FROM ONE CORNER TIP TO THE OTHER. NO SHELF WEAR OR RUBBING

THE SPINE IS ONCE AGAIN FULLY LAMINATED, NO PEEL OR FLAKE, AND EVERY LETTER OF THE BLACK TYPEFACE IS PERFECTLY LEGIBLE. NO SQUASHING, AND THE  ENDS ARE 100% UNRUBBED, EVEN AT THE VERY TIPS

THE REAR SURFACE IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE FRONT.

THE SURFACE IS STILL VERY WHITE WITH JUST A SMALL BROWN MARK JUST UNDER THE TOP EDGE IN THE LEFT CORNER. AND A LIGHT STAIN ON THE BOTTOM EDGE

THE BLACK TYPEFACE IS IMMACULATE AND TOTALLY UNRUBBED. THERE IS NO RING WEAR TO THIS SURFACE EITHER

THE ORIGINAL RED AND WHITE INNER SLEEVE IS INCLUDED AND IS IN EXCEPTIONAL UNSPLIT CONDITION.

THE SLEEVE GRADES  NEAR MINT
