Vinyl looks VG to VG-
A skip at the beginning of song for my father
Sounds great to me
I am a jazz musician, a collector, and I list records to trim my collection. My turntable is a Technics 1200 with a ATVML540.
Record grading is an art, not a science, so I happily offer a no-questions-asked return policy if the buyer isn't happy, with the buyer paying return shipping. To better ensure a meeting of the minds regarding the quality of the record, the following generally describes how I approach grading:
M: sealed record.
NM: will have no scratches but possibly a few paper scuffs that can only be seen under certain lighting conditions. Cover will nearly appear as though it is brand new.
EX: may have only a few light scratches that cannot be felt by hand, and possibly paper scuffs that can only be seen under certain lighting conditions. Cover may have a few signs of wear, such as a few hints of corner/edge wear or light foxing.
VG+: will have some light scratches and paper scuffs, none of which can be felt by hand. Cover may have light corner/edge wear, any splits must be 1" or less. Slight ringwear or other minor markings possible.
VG: will have many light scratches and/or a few scratches that can be felt by hand. Covers may have splits more than 1", corners may be noticeably rounded or cut, writing/stains may be more prominent. Might have skips.
G+ or VG-: will have many scratches, a handful of which may be felt by hand. Cover may have fully split sides, cut corners, and distracting markings/stains. Might have skips.
