The Beatles
A Hard Day's Night
'Patents Pending'
!!EX-!!

This Lp was released on the 10th July 1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 postition for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

Vinyl:
QUALITY 138g
VG+! Lovely heavy vinyl with a gorgeous sheen. There are just light marks, with the majprity of the sound reproduction being lovely and clear!
I have just listened to the whole album and didn't find any less enjoyment in playback, VERY occasional background noise in the quieter sections-The run ins and outs are lovely and quiet..
One unusual thing I noticed was the constant background noise on tracks 3 & 4 of side 1...no reason why, as they aren't overly marked, so a gentle clean could get rid of this strange anomoly..?
 Very nice indeed.
Flat Flat, FLAT!
Shiny too
HEAVY

Labels: EX-. Lovely and clear. Just light spindle marks, visible when angled towards bright light, with hardly any central hole wear...Please see the detailed pictures.

Outer text "The Parlophone Co. LTD" (ONLY 1st Press have this) it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.

Raised "KT" tax code to side 2.

Cover: EX-!! Solid, mid-sized mono in top right corner. Shiny front cover...With just a couple of very small crescents of spidering, with small fingers of spidering eminating from the seams to the front laminted cover-VERY NICE!!
Still has a glorious white card backing.!
STRONG & SOLID CORNERS
The Garrod and Lofthouse flipbacks are in wonderfully strong condition.
STRONG, UNCRUSHED & LEGIBLE spine.
NO rips or tears!!
Has "Patents Pending" to back bottom right corner flipback.

Inner: EX-!! It is the original die-cut plain white inner with the rarer text:
"PATENTS APPLIED FOR"
(not seen very often on these white die-cut inners)
She has certainly done her job in looking after the lovely slab of vinyl!

A VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF AN EXCELLENT RECORD
