The Beatles
Beatles For Sale
 1st Press
3N/3N

A bit of history.....This album was first released on the 4th Dec 1964. Prior to its release there was a huge order of 750,000...which went on to break all records for advance orders of ANY album!!! Of course this meant the album went straight into the number 1 position in the U.K. charts, staying in the charts for 46 weeks!! POPULAR is too small a word for it!

LOVELY AND EARLY PRESSING

Vinyl:
QUALITY 152g
VG+.
She is a wonderful FLAT slab of vinyl, with only light marks to the vinyl.
I have just played her all the way through...
WITHOUT ANY JUMPS OR STICKS!!
(they knew how to make vinyl back then!!)
Light and occasional background noise, would benefit from a gentle professional clean....Evident on the run ins and quieter sections-but I am sure a professional clean will lift the majority of this.
She still retains all her glory.
THE SOUND REPRODUCTION IS SOLID AND CLEAR

Labels: VG+. Lovely and clear. There are light spindle marks visible.
'KT' tax code to side 2.
Outer text "The Parlophone Co." (ONLY 1st Press have this) it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.
Small amount of hole wear.
Lovely, clear silver text.

PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES PROVIDED AND READ MY FEEDBACK FOR FAIR GRADINGS AND HAPPY CUSTOMERS.

Cover: VG(+).
VERY HARD TO FIND THESE DELICATE COVERS IN FAB CONDITION.
Mono outline in top right corner. Shiny front and back cover...There are just a few small crescent spidering areas to the two sided laminate with a couple of small finger spiderings emanating from the spine of the gatefold sleeve...
There is a small amount of water damage to the bottom of the front cover-see if you can spot it in the detailed images provided....
The top and bottom corners of the spine have some rubbing, with small 0.5cm splits to the bottom and top of the spine...BUT the title remains strong and legible.
ALL IN ALL A VERY SOLID PIECE
The inner flipbacks are still wonderfully strong.
No Writing ANYWHERE!!

Inner: EX.  This is the ORIGINAL Use Emitex inner...Lined with the tracing paper kind of lining.
Done a great job by looking after this slab of vinyl all these years.
NO SPLITS
NO WRITING

ALL IN ALL THIS IS A TRUE 1st PRESSING OF THE BEATLES FOR SALE AND WOULD SIT PROUDLY IN ANYONES COLLECTION.
3N/3N...NOT 3N/4N OR 4N/4N!
