WATCHING THE GIRLS / ANOTHER SHOW ANOTHER TOWN

Superb, popcorn oldie on an obscure label out of Hollywood, Los Angeles. Recorded at the legendary Gold Star studios used by Wall Of Sound producer, Phil Spector and his Wrecking Crew ;) Both sides of this desirable single have been comped. SideA is a fabulous doo wop cum teen pop number called "Watching The Girls" with super-catchy vocal harmony and groovy feelgood beach bum vibe. SideB is the popcorn angst of "Another Show, Another Town" as previously released in 1962 on Fred's Bud label rarity but under the alias, Rome Singleton (please see our other current auctions for this private press gem). This track is considered to be a fine example of the original Belgium popcorn sound. In 1965, Robie Lester released a version on the Chattahoochee label using the same backing track. Great for DJs! Disc cut loud with big production sound. Crossover appeal for blue eyed soul and country collectors too.

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG++ (actually better) regardless of a light scuff mark to sideA and some soft ticks in places to sideB / some faint hairlines elsewhere / disc cut loud with big production sound / background noises (most probably due to the actual pressing or heat exposure or general deterioration due to its time in storage)
SLEEVE - not graded - original generic factory sleeve has general wear / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive stickers and pen notation, front and back
LABEL - natural age discoloration / dirt marks from storage

After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)
