A 1st stereo press of the WHITE ALBUM and would have been available for sale in Nov/Dec1968. Matrix 1/1/1/1. Please note ALL labels exhibit the 'Sold In The UK..' statement - indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in a top-loading original 'Stereo' Garrod & Lofthouse numbered cover..."0557682". Also included is the poster/lyric sheet and both black Apple inner sleeves, but there are no photos. And thankfully it is a real beauty...you won't see many looking and playing this nice.. 
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex+/Ex+/Ex+) In stunning condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - the sought that are so insignificant they really are not going to feature audibly. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Now, don't underestimate a grading like this...This is not a throw away Ex+...this is proper grading with NO HYPE. A grading at this level is almost impossible to find on an original white album. Take a look at those label shots - this is a low-mileage copy and it shows. The audio on this copy is going to knock everything else into touch. Beautiful tonal balance and incredible transparency. I'm pleased to report that interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of spots...i.e very very little at all. Then nothing but pure unadulterated EMI audio of the highest standard. Many tracks on the White Album are very low-key acoustic numbers and even light static can influence the audio. NOT HERE - even the quiet tracks on side 2 play really really CLEAN - impressive!..
Cover (Ex-) Has been very carefully looked after down the years. Only the very lightest of ageing just apparent at the extremities and one small ding to a corner. It really is very well preserved compared to the average copy. Edge wear is reasonably light and that spine is ok with text still visible, just some laminate lift in places. The interior is in lovely condition too and is pretty much faultless. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Lyric/poster (Vg+) Very nice condition with a couple of minor splits and the odd bit of ageing at a couple of the seams.
Inners (Vg) Ok, but there are a few splits & tears which have been repaired with tape.
