An original 1st stereo pressing of WTB on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Please note the labels conform to very 1st press credentials...'Parlophone' perimeter text, large STEREO on label, and most importantly the Jobete publishing credit is still showing. Please bear in mind that, whilst 1st presses of WTB are very sought after, it is the 1st Stereo press which is a supreme rarity. And made even more difficult to find in condition like this specimen is in. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Stereo Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A lovely copy in every way and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely problematic. We are absolutely not rating this as MINT or being without any use at all. It has clearly been used, but only lightly by a very careful owner. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of payback.  Again, this no throw-away Ex+ we are talking solid audio playback of the very highest order. This is very unusual in itself, but on a stereo 1st press it is a really difficult find. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is practically non-existent. I don't recall more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments throughout the entire recording. A truly marvellous rendition which would be difficult to better...
Cover (Vg+) In great condition and whilst not top-level this copy fares much better than most copies that turn up. Lovely shiny front with only a couple of tiny creases and no laminate lift - this is unusual. The rear has escaped the worst of the fading that often occurs - just a bit around the extremities. The one thing that is affecting the grading is the damage to the top-right flipback. Other than that there are a few light marks, but nothing else that noticeable. Handling wear is very light and so is edge wear. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains great rigidity and lies perfectly flat. 
Emitex (Ex) No splits. No marks. Lightest of ageing.
