A 1st pressing of WDWTWA on the UK Purple label. Matrix A1/B1. Etching 'Purple Peckie' etc. Please note the perimeter text reads 'Gramophone' which, coupled with the matrix number, is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover, but there's no lyric inner unfortunately.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb shape and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could make out a number of light marks - there does seem to be a small patch of them in 'Rat Back Blue'. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal. All we could detect was a few crackles in 'Rat Back Blue' due to a few marks - nothing really that invasive and certainly only momentarily in the odd place. 1st pressings are the way to go with this title...and audio quality is very very nice.
Cover (Ex-) Has been well cared for down the years. Nice and shiny front and rear with minimal creasing. Edge wear is light and the interior is only suffering the lightest handling wear. Please note there is a name written in the interior top-right. Also there are pin pricks [from a drawing pin] in the extreme top right and left of the cover. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
