An original 1st press of Zeppelin IV on UK Atlantic and would have been available for sale during Xmas 1971. Matrix A3/B3. Etching "Porky/Pecko". The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold sleeve. Also included is the original textured inner sleeve with exposed flipbacks. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzers..this is the kind of copy you dream about. Shiny like new and has clearly only seen the very lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. This is without doubt one of the best renditions I've ever witnessed - certainly within the top two. It's getting very close to perfect. You can hear the vocal echoes and the occasional low-level cough in the background. Interference is practically non-existent. Even those acoustic numbers on side 1 do not exhibit low-level issues [which is not an easy ask]. All we could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A truly top-level rendition with beautiful clean audio allowing this Zep classic to just flow-w-w-w. FINAL UPGRADE par excellence..
Cover (Ex) Zep IV is a difficult cover to find in perfect condition, but this copy acquits itself admirably. Lovely clean front and back with no heavy creases showing at all. There's a bit of edge wear, but it is only vaguely noticeable on the spine - and even this isn't bad. The interior is in great shape - no issues. Overall the cover retains great rigidity and lies totally flat.
Inner (Vg) Slighty let down on the inner sleeve. All sides have some sort of split and have been tape repaired. Surfaces are in pretty clean condition. And of course it is genuine 1st issue with exposed flipbacks.
