A 1st pressing of Fireball on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'PEK'. This is the very first iteration of this release with George Peckham's 'PEK' evident in the deadwax and 'Gramophone' still showing in the perimeter label text. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original textured gatefold sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has seen only light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Even the quiet passages play very nice and clean e.g. FOOLS. If you're looking for a top-level rendition without breaking the bank - this should more than fit the bill.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Back and front are very well preserved with just some light handling and. The interior is in very nice condition too with just a couple of pin pricks evident. There's a bit of edge wear in and it has just worn through in a tiny one inch section on the rear top panel. The text on the spine is just about readable. Overall the cover still retains much of its original rigidity.
