An original 1st issue of Lizard on the UK Pink Rim Island label. Matrix 2/2 - Identical to 1st press. Stampers 2-OL/3-PP. Please note that this copy is the first pink-rim design as there's no mention of 'Island Records' over on the right hand side of the label. Also, interestingly there's a label track listing error apparent. Tracks 2 & 3 are listed in the wrong order on the labels. But please be aware that this is not one of those very early 1st presses of Lizard as they were housed in an E J Day sleeve. This copy is housed in an original Robor Ltd gatefold sleeve. Also included is the original blue Island inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks each side - nothing heavy though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A beautiful rendition by any standard..very nice and clean. Interference is very minor indeed. In fact - the only vaguely noticeable interference is a few light ticks in the mid-section of 'Cirkus'. Other than that we are talking a very very clean player and some impressive audio.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Beautiful shiny condition and has been looked after very carefully. Almost immaculate front and back with light handling. The interior is perfect with no issues at all. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat.
Inner (Ex+) No splits or ageing.
