An original 1st press of Autobahn on the UK Vertigo label from 1974. Matrix 1/1. Etching "Bilbo". The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue Robor printed embossed cover. Also included is the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A stunning copy that has only seen light use. Check out the label shots - there's waste vinyl in the spindle holes so this is a low-mileage copy. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. You need a really clean copy for this ambient style of music...and this copy does not disappoint. Beautifully clean and precise audio that renders all those super low-key tinkering flute-like parts perfectly! Interference is very very limited indeed. I couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side - it really is a very solid rendition. Overall a top-level performer that, I feel, you would be hard pressed to even equal.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Often found looking a bit shabby by this stage in the day. This example, however, looks in tip top condition and survived the years in fine form. Very nice clean and unworn cover which doesn't appear to have been affected by the usual ageing process. Both front and back are in super condition with only super light evidence of handling. Edge wear is super-light and the openings still sharp. The spine seems mostly intact with all text legible - very unusual. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very impressive original example.
Inner (Vg+) A bit of ageing at the edges. No splits.
