An original 1st press of Pearl on the UK CBS label. Matrix A1/B1 - very 1st cut. Note that the vinyl is pressed on decent weight vinyl [pre-oil crisis]. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Shorepak cover. Also included is the original CBS advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great shape and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback on side 1. Side 2 seems to have seen more use and averages nearer VERYGOOD+ [with one deviation]. Overall a cracking rendition. Difficult to find fault on side 1 - it's just killer through and through! Side 2 - expect a touch of light low-level static in the background here and there. The only track where it is elevated is during the #Mercedes ditty. This is the paired down acoustic number - so not massively surprising. It's not bad but will clearly not play clean in this track like the rest of the LP. More often than not the audio is stellar - just bear in mind the dip in standard on side 2.
Cover (Vg+) In very decent condition and has been looked after. Very nice clean front without the usual surface wear. The rear looks good too, but just has some creasing down in the bottom left corner. Edge wear is light and the openings still sharpish. The spine looks good with text legible - it has faded though. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. NO splits.
