At the time of purchase I was beginning to buy any vinyl by Bowie that I could possibly obtain. I bought this album new in 1978. I stored it away in a click-seal plastic sleeve.

Condition of sleeve: Very Good+. The full colour album sleeve is made of thick cardboard. The sleeve is clean and essentially in the same condition as when I obtained it new back in 1978. Some manufacturers and distributors of this class of album did not take that much care of the albums so it was not unusual for these types of albums to be in less than pristine condition when your received them. Quality control was not always a major priority.
There are slight creases on three of the corners and there are two parallel lines to the left of Bowie's hair on the back cover. I initially thought that they were part of the background however they are actually impossibly shallow hairline scratches in the sleeve. See the photo. The top and left spines have slight damage due to the type of manufacture of the sleeve. There are no seam splits. The paper inner sleeves are still clean and crisp. 
Condition of the vinyl: Very Good. Visual inspection. This black vinyl double album looks clean, shiny and glossy however it shows some signs of age and use. There are hair lines, scuff marks and other signs of ageing such as age spots on the vinyl. The Ruthless Rhymes labels are clean. There are no spindle marks. The original paper inner sleeves are clean and crisp.

The vinyl will also be carefully packaged outside of the sleeve in order to avoid seam splits and/or further damage to the album sleeve during transit.
