At the time of purchase I was collecting any vinyl by Bowie that I could possibly obtain. I bought this album new in 1979. I played the album once or twice on a Pioneer PL71 Direct Drive turntable with a Stanton cartridge. I stored it away in a click-seal plastic sleeve. The album itself is still in the original shrink wrap.

Condition of sleeve: Excellent+. The full colour album sleeve is made of thick cardboard and is still housed in its original shrink wrap. The sleeve is clean and essentially in the same condition as when I obtained the album back in 1979, the year of its release. Some manufacturers and distributors of this class of album did not take that much care of the albums so it was not unusual for these types of albums to be in less than pristine condition when your received them. Quality control was not always a major priority. There is a barely noticeable manufacturing fault on the front of the sleeve that is only visible when you hold the sleeve up to a light. It is like a crease under the coloured artwork about 6 cm from the sleeve opening. It is not that noticeable. 
There are no seam splits. The spines are in excellent condition. The original paper inner sleeves are clean and crisp. 
The top and bottom left corners have 2-3cm creases. The corners have tiny crush creases. See the photographs.
Condition of the vinyl: Excellent+. Visual inspection. The two black vinyl album discs are clean and immaculate. There are some slight scuff marks,  probably from the paper inserts. The Saturated Recordworks labels are clean. There are no spindle marks. See the photographs.
